Hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Greenbuild is the largest green building expo and conference in the world, held annually since 2002. The USGBC and Greenbuild are dedicated to bringing professionals, field experts, and industry leaders who are dedicated to building using green practices together, allowing them to share ideas, innovations, and sustainable building practices. The three-day event includes an expansive exhibitor floor, Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) workshops, showcases, speakers, a plenary talk, and more. Greenbuild 2015 will be held later this month, from November 18 to 20, in the Washington Convention Center in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. For the first time, Precision Plastic Ball (PPB) will be joining Greenbuild as an exhibitor. PPB will be on hand — in Booth 2712 at the Water Pavilion — to demonstrate and promote our Shade Balls. Shade Balls are hollow plastic ballsmade to float on liquid surfaces. Manufactured from BPA- and HDPE-Free material, approved by both the FDA and the National Science Foundation (NSF), Shade Balls are designed to be used in lakes, reservoirs, and other human drinking water sources, to:

  • Reduce water loss via evaporation
  • Prevent algal blooms, which plague reservoirs particularly when they are at low-capacity levels
  • Reduce airborne pollutants
  • Discourage animals from entering or spoiling the water
  • Prevent harmful chemical reactions such as bromate formation

Environmental awareness is truly important to the PPB team. We’re all very much anticipating the positive energy and discussion at this event, and are proud to add PPB’s Shade Balls to the mix of innovative products being represented. Stop by Booth 2712 at the Water Pavilion to visit us. There, you’ll be able to learn more about Shade Balls and the rest of PPB’s product line, play a game of Precision beer pong, and have a drink. We’ll also be offering special access to our eBook, “The Story Behind Shade Balls”. To learn more about PPB and Shade balls in the weeks before Greenbuild, or contact us today.
