Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene that finds many applications. The most well-known brand name of PTFE is PTFE by DuPont Co.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) shows a extraordinary chemical resistance and it is insoluble in all known solvents. It is attacked only by molten alkali metals and by fluorine at high temperatures. PTFE is fire-resistant and may be used up to 260ºC. PTFE's coefficient of friction is very low and it shows the effect of self lubrication with stable mechanical properties which makes it mostly suitable for bearings, joints, O-rings, stirring bars, hazardous materials bottle pouers, syringes, crucubles, evaporating dishes etc. PTFE may be shaped by compression and sintering into bottles and beakers where its chemical stability and non-wettability make it suitable for use in extreme conditions.
We are the leader of PTFE balls, and have in-stock sizes from 1/32" to 6" in diameter. We also offer glass-filled PTFE balls.
